Including us. The left column is what's common in the pay-monthly website market — taken from published terms, not invented. The right column is what we do, all of which is in our own terms and which you can hold us to.
Plans start at £25 a month. Every claim in the Staie column is in our published terms, and the domain question is covered in detail on our domain and DNS page.
“STAIE built our site in days and it looks fantastic. Any change we need, we just email and it's done.”
“Genuinely the easiest process. No jargon, no upfront cost, and the site does everything we needed.”
“Professional, fast and great value. Our new website has brought in real enquiries.”
For a lot of small businesses, a £3,000 website is the same brochure site with a bigger invoice attached. Where the money genuinely buys you something is on complex builds — shops, booking systems, integrations — which is why we quote those separately rather than pretending £25 covers everything.
That we're betting you'll stay. We carry the build cost, so we only make money if you're happy enough to keep paying month after month. That's the whole model, and it's why we'd rather show you the site than sell you on a call.
Read their terms and search for the words "ownership", "transfer", "minimum term" and "fee". Look up their company number on Companies House. Check who the registrant is on a WHOIS lookup. Five minutes of that tells you more than any sales page, ours included.
Don't take our word for it — everything in our column is in our published terms, and every claim about our own service is one you can hold us to in writing. The left-hand column describes practices that are common in this market, not any single named company.
